Educational Inequalities
The disparities in achievement and outcomes for children from different ethnic and economic backgrounds are amongst the highest in the country. While nearly half the borough’s children attend private schools, and local state schools demonstrate strong academic and Ofsted performance, the highest exclusion rate in London indicates that for a significant number of children educational outcomes are poor and lead to adverse long-term consequences.
