Voluntary Sector Support Fund 2027-30 - Small Grants Fund

The K+C Foundation is pleased to continue our partnership with Kensington and Chelsea Council (RBKC) to manage the VSSF (Voluntary Sector Support Fund) Small Grants Fund.  The purpose of the VSSF 2027–30 is to fund voluntary organisations to help reduce deprivation in Kensington and Chelsea, whilst working with the Council to ease pressure on local services.

The fund offers voluntary and community sector organisations fixed grants of £25,000 per year for three years for core costs. These grants are available to smaller non-profit organisations (registered charities and constituted groups such as CICs, with a maximum annual income of £250,000 in the previous financial year). There is £150,000 per year available. 

How to apply 
This is a two-stage application process. Please read the guidelines on the form carefully and complete the Expression of Interest by Friday 25th September 2026 at 5pm. We will let you know in late October whether your organisation has been shortlisted to complete a full application form. Final decisions will be communicated at the end of November, and all grants will begin on 1st April 2027. 

How the decisions will be made
The K+C Foundation is committed to empowering local people to decide how funds are invested. For this fund we will be allocating grants using a participatory grant-making (PGM) approach. This means a grants panel of 10 K+C residents have set the criteria and application questions, and will assess how well your proposal meets the aims and criteria of the fund. All panellists have lived experience of the issues the fund is seeking to address, have received comprehensive training and are being paid for their time.
