We support the St Cuthbert's Centre to provide an open door drop-in centre for all marginalised, vulnerable people in Earls Court and the surrounding areas
Elise, aged 80, was evacuated during the War and has been left with a fear of abandonment and attachment difficulties. She currently resides in sheltered accommodation in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. She is in constant pain as she suffers from a severe degenerative spinal disorder and has also undergone various operations in her hands as well. Elise feels isolated and finds it difficult to form relationships with other tenants in the sheltered accommodation scheme she lives in.
The St Cuthberts' Centre in Earls Court offers an open door drop-in centre for all marginalised, vulnerable people in Earls Court and the surrounding areas. Elise now attends the St Cuthbert's Centre on a daily basis and has a cooked meal. She has begun to form relationships with other clients at the Centre to combat her feelings of isolation. She has joined the arts + crafts and knitting group and has found our new complimentary medicine sessions beneficial. Elise also receives ongoing, flexible support sessions with the Mental Health Coordinator and visiting outreach Nurse.
