Join our Mental Health Fund Grants Panel
We are looking for 8-10 RBKC residents aged 18 + who can work together to assess funding applications from local charities working in the mental health sector and choose which ones will receive a 3 year grant. We believe that residents with knowledge of local services and experience of the themes of our grant rounds are best placed to decide how money should be spent on mental health in their own communities.
Who can apply?
People who:
- Are residents of Kensington and Chelsea
- Have lived or relevant experience of the aims of the Mental Health fund
- Want to help make K+C a fairer borough
No previous experience is necessary - we don’t expect you to have done anything like this before
What's involved?
- You will meet for about 4 days in total (approx. 30 hours total of time) for training and reviewing applications from charities
- You’ll work as a team to decide which charities to fund, with support from K+C Foundation staff
- You will be paid £20 per hour for your time, plus travel expenses
- You will receive free coaching and support in grant making
