Lead Donation to our Covid-19 Appeal
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of LMAX Group, which has made an incredible lead donation of £250,000 to our Covid-19 Appeal. LMAX Group’s gift will enable us to support a whole range of vital activities including a food distribution network for the most vulnerable people in north Kensington; activities and mentoring for young people at risk during lockdown; and the provision of tablets and stands at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital so that Covid-19 patients can have contact with their families and friends.
K+C Foundation Director, Victoria Steward Todd, said:
'LMAX Group has demonstrated real leadership by stepping up in our community’s time of need and offering such generous support. We know that this will have an enormous impact on the lives of local people, improving both mental and physical health’.
David Mercer, LMAX Group CEO said:
“Our global headquarters have been in W11 for 10 years and we feel strongly about giving back to our local community. Our ambition is to drive positive change not just in the way people trade foreign exchange but also in the world around us and particularly in these times it is our corporate responsibility to step up and help. We wanted to focus our donation on the vulnerable, isolated and underprivileged and felt that the K+C Foundation was the right local partner who care as much about making a difference as we do. The area is rich in many ways, not least in diversity and creativity, but has the worst rate of inequality in all of London; we hope that our initial contribution will encourage other local businesses to do the same and help create opportunity for all.”
