‘Crisis Response’ grants to enable organisations to meet the immediate needs of communities through the purchase of food, essential items and equipment:

Action Disability Kensington + Chelsea - £5,610 for the purchase of IT equipment to enable staff to provide vital support and advice to ADKC members remotely

Age UK Kensington + Chelsea - £120,000 to provide care packages containing food and essential items to 1,000 older people a week for 12 weeks

CW+ (Chelsea + Westminster Health Charity) - £50,000 to purchase 60 tablets and stands for patients with Covid-19 so that they can speak to family and loved ones whilst in isolation on the wards

Dad’s House - £4,800 to provide food and support to vulnerable families in crisis at their food bank in West Brompton

Dalgarno Trust - £9,989 to relaunch their food bank and community kitchen services for people on the Dalgarno Estate from 21st May 2020

Ethiopian Women's Empowerment Group - £3,940 to cover telephone and internet costs of staff working from home, as well as to provide food and essential supplies for vulnerable families and single parent households

Fit For Life Youth CIC - £2,500 to provide online fitness sessions to families and young people via Zoom and social media

Holy Trinity Brompton - £8,000 to provide food and essential supplies to residents of the Dalgarno Estate during the temporary closure of the local foodbank service

Kensington + Chelsea Social Council - £25,000 to provide care packages containing food and essential items to vulnerable people under the age of 65 suffering financial hardship and without any community support for one month

Minds United F.C. - £7,460 for the purchase of IT and mobile phone equipment to provide online fitness sessions and weekly social groups to support players with mental health issues whilst the team is unable to play together

Notting Hill Methodist Church - £1,000 for the purchase of storage equipment for their food bank

Response Community Projects - £4,830 to provide weekly emergency supplies of food and essential items to 60 elderly and vulnerable people in Earl’s Court for 14 weeks

Solidarity Sports - £5,000 to provide 100 emergency care packages containing essential items such as food and nappies to vulnerable families suffering financial hardship

Sport4Health CIC - £1,300 to purchase IT equipment so that they can provide online health and fitness programmes to their members, including older LGBTQ+ people, people with learning disabilities and students with mental health needs

St Cuthbert's Centre - £1,090 to provide a hot takeaway lunch service daily to vulnerable people in Earl’s Court, including people who are homeless and those living in hostels without cooking facilities

St Mary Abbot’s Rehabilitation + Training (SMART) - £4,300 to enable them to provide food and essential supplies to people with severe and enduring mental health needs, as well as other vulnerable people in the south of the borough

The Nucleo Project - £4,552 to purchase laptops and mobile phones to enable their core staff team to continue working remotely

The Pepper Pot Centre - £4,992 to provide freshly cooked, culturally appropriate meals to housebound older people from African, Caribbean and other BME communities for three months

Venture Community Association - £5,000 for the purchase of food and essentials items for vulnerable individuals and families, personal protective equipment for the staff and volunteers, and to deep clean the building to provide a safe working environment

West London Zone - £5,000 to provide educational resource packs and tech equipment for families without access to online resources

‘Delivering Differently’ grants to enable organisations to adapt the way they work, including delivering services online and redeploying staff

240 Project - £23,548 to deliver their regular activities for vulnerable and isolated people online, including social groups, counselling, creative writing, art competitions, befriending and nutrition sessions

ACAVA - £7,632 to deliver their ‘Flourish in the Forest’ project during the summer holidays to provide families living in cramped conditions with an outdoor space where they can explore, play and create.

Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women's Project - £17,500 to adapt their elderly befriending project to provide a freshly cooked meal to 50 isolated older people to break their fast every other day during Ramadan

Al-Manaar, The Muslim Cultural Heritage Trust - £22,350 to support staffing, equipment and building costs related to acting as a distribution centre for the over 65s food service in partnership with Age UK K+C

Baraka Community Association - £25,760 to purchase IT equipment and educational resources to provide online mentoring, education and health support to 65 children and young people from Somali, Muslim and BME communities

Chelsea Theatre - £30,000 to build, programme and staff a virtual community centre to deliver online activities, as well as providing specialist support to isolated residents of the World’s End Estate to enable them to access digital resources

Ethiopian Women's Empowerment Group - £9,393 to cover staff and equipment costs to enable them to provide online social and fitness sessions, information and signposting, and advice sessions on topics such as domestic abuse and online safety

For Women CIC - £2,928 to provide their weekly group meetings and one-to-one support for vulnerable and isolated women via Zoom and telephone for 12 weeks

Grenfell Foundation - £2,650 as match funding to provide hot meals twice a week to NHS staff and volunteers, including the Grenfell Health + Wellbeing team, at St Charles Hospital for four weeks whilst canteens and shops are closed

Harrow Club - £6,300 to work in partnership with Dalgarno Trust, Westway Trust and RBKC to open their venues to provide families with a clean and socially distanced place for families to exercise and play.

Hear Women - £9,993 to enable staff and volunteers to provide remote emotional support, information, signposting, online exercise classes and reading groups for vulnerable women and children from East and North Africa and the Middle East living in K+C

Hodan Somali Community - £14,360 to purchase IT equipment and invest in staff training to enable them to offer their advice and information service remotely, as well as to provide their elderly befriending service by telephone

Kids On The Green - £5,040 to provide visual arts, dance, circus skills, fitness and music production for young people in North Kensington

Midaye Somali Development Network - £22,167 to provide multilingual online one-to-one and group support for vulnerable BME migrants struggling with bereavement, fear, and family relationships through qualified counselling and signposting for practical help

North Kensington Hearts + Minds - £40,130 to cover staff and equipment costs associated with providing daily meals and food supplies from Bay 20 community centre to over 100 elderly and vulnerable individuals and families who are self-isolating in North Kensington

North Kensington Law Centre - £40,600 to provide new, dedicated telephone advice lines advising clients on their legal issues emerging from Covid-19 in employment, housing, immigration and welfare benefits law

Nova New Opportunities - £16,047 to cover the costs of a Pre-Employment Advisor for six months to support individuals in low paid and insecure roles to find sustainable employment

Nucleus Community Action - £28,045 for their housing advice service to support clients facing rising debt, eviction and homelessness as a result of the pandemic

Open Age - £21,759 to purchase equipment and subscriptions to enable them to deliver their weekly activities online and via conference call to older people

Real Action - £30,000 to provide twice weekly online reading classes to around 100 children with poor literacy

St Mary Abbot’s Rehabilitation + Training (SMART) - £20,908 to continue to provide food, essential supplies and emotional support to people with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses and long-term health conditions who have been advised by the government to self-isolate

Solidarity Sports - £30,000 (generously supported by The Lightbulb Trust) to provide family activity packs and tech equipment for families without access to online resources, as well as one-to-one mentoring visits for children in homes with a history of domestic violence or substance misuse

Venture Community Association - £59,280 to support staffing, cleaning and equipment costs related to acting as a distribution centre for the under 65s food service in partnership with Kensington + Chelsea Social Council

Volunteer Centre K+C - £5,482 to enable their Wellbeing Team to continue to provide remote support to 160 people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues and people recovering from addiction to combat anxiety and isolation

West London Action for Children - £10,000 to support their Parenting and Families Programme to provide specialist therapy and counselling services to families under stress

Westway Trust - £7,968 to purchase laptops to loan to children and young people from the Stable Way Travellers’ site to enable them to complete school work online

World’s End Neighbourhood Advice Centre - £13,725 to upgrade their IT systems to improve remote delivery of services, and adapt their offices to make them Covid-19 compliant for face-to-face appointments
