The Berkeley Hotel donates dining furniture

The Berkeley hotel has delighted guests for over a hundred years in the heart of London’s Knightsbridge. We are especially pleased that they are supporting our work and have recently donated some furniture to us for redistribution to local charities.  We arranged the move of 12 dining tables and 48 dining chairs from the hotel staff canteen, and they were successfully re-homed in two local charities – the Chelsea Methodist Church and Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre.

‘Al-Hasaniya was very lucky to receive a generous donation of two large dining tables along with 8 chairs from the K&C Foundation that brightened up both our kitchen space in our centre and a single parent family who have just recently moved into a new home and had no furniture.

The Foundation’s generosity continues to make it a beacon of light that brightens many people’s lives with items others may take for granted. Thank you for thinking of us!’ – Nadia Elbhiri, Centre Manager

“The furniture kindly donated by The Berkeley Hotel has given the drop-in a fresh and modern look. The seating is much more comfortable and has enabled us to increase the seating capacity for our guests. Thank you to The Berkeley Hotel and The K&C Foundation for your support’ – Carol Grocott, Centre Manager
